VM Guestのセットアップ†

• メモリは１GB以上を確保します。
• ディスク容量も32GB以上確保します。
• VM Guestを作成する際、Default設定のまま作成すると以下のメッセージのところでインストールが停止してしまいます。
  
  
  
• VM Guestの設定画面[システム]-[マザーボード]-[拡張機能]で「IO APICを有効化」にチェックを入れると回避できました。

• OSインストール時に/tmp領域を1GB以上確保します。
  
  
  
• パッケージの選択で「Oracle Validated」を選択すると便利
  • 「今すぐカスタマイズする」-[ベースシステム]-[システムツール]-[オプションパッケージ]-「oracle-validated」にチェックを入れる。
    
    

環境整備†

YUMセットアップ†

• Unbreakable Linux Network サポートなしの Oracle Linux インストールの場合は、Oracle Public yum サーバーと yum クライアントを使用して更新をインストールします。
  • 方法はhttp://public-yum.oracle.com/に記載されている通りです。

    # cd /etc/yum.repos.d
    # wget http://public-yum.oracle.com/public-yum-el5.repo

  • Yum の構成ファイルを編集することによって、適切なリポジトリを有効にします。

    Yum の構成ファイルをテキスト エディターで開く

    更新するリポジトリのファイル内のセクションを見つけます

    [el5_ga_base],[ol5_u7_base],[el5_addons],[el5_oracle_addons]

    変更を有効に有効にするには 0 を = 1

    対象のOSバージョンを確認してリポジトリを登録します。

• Guest Additions のインストールの準備
  • 必要なパッケージをインストールします。

    # yum install gcc make kernel-uek-devel

    「kernel-uek-devel」の部分は環境に依存します

• # mount -o exec,remount -t iso9660 /devhdc /media/VBOXADDITIONS_4.1.6_74713/
  # cd /media/VBOXADDITIONS_4.1.6_74713/
  # sh VBoxLinuxAdditions.run
